Over-hydration is still a concern when it's really hot, don't over do it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Everything in moderation!  (Especially moderation!)&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Robert House</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 13 Aug 2009 21:54:04 -0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Re: Mountain Biking and Conquering the Extreme Heat</title><link>http://www.mtbtrailreview.com/blog/mountain-biking-and-conquering-the-extreme-heat/#comment-16766384</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Add another one to that list - pre-hyrdate.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I work and play in some extreme heat (40+ deg C) and I've found that by increasing the water that I usually drink (not by too much - you don't want to overdo it), AND pre-hydrating with a suitable electrolyte fluid a few days prior to the big events (both work and riding) that my body copes a lot better and I don't need to consume as much water as often when I'm actually out there.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">justind</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 13 Aug 2009 21:00:31 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
