Mountain Biking by 198: How To Become A Better Mountain Biker – Part 6

    Robb,
I enjoy my "big rig" this time of year. It's a 2002 Kona Stinky Deelux with a 2.5 front tire and 2.3 rear(approx 38 lbs). The geometry of the bike may be the best of my four mountain bikes and it really doesn't feel a lot different than my 28 lb. SC Blur. You can run over/off anything and recover and it's stable in almost any conditions. I think I've wrecked twice in five years on this bike. And like you said, get on a hardtail after a few weeks and you feel like you have a motor under you.

    Thx

    Paul

I have an alternative idea. I use a Camelbak when riding, but i have mounts for two water bottles. Fill two water bottles with sand or water and mount them on the bike. I guess if you were really crazy you could fill them with cement, that could be interesting.
